Workout 1: Total Body Strength for Beginners Class
Class duration: 45 minutes
Our coach was hired away by a private resort on the island of Lanai, Hawaii. Now why would she want to leave us in Boulder to go run the fitness program there? She must be smart. She left us with video instructions to follow until our new coach starts.
- Stretches and activation
- Workout:
- Barbell squats - 12 reps x3
- Reverse row (except I used a resistance machine on 15 lbs for my shoulder) - 12 reps x3
- Dumbell lunges - 30 lbs - 12 reps x3
- Lateral Plank Bridge with sideways leg lifts - 5 reps x3
followed by - Split squats - back leg elevated 10/side x1
- Dumbell bicep curls 15lb/side x1
- Side pull down "stability chop" 10/side x1
Then Cardio:
- Elliptical: 14:06
- Calories: 202
- Miles equivalent: 1.2
